The Movement That’s Making Giving a Way of Life

The Givefluencer Network is inspiring people from all walks of life to thrive through giving

Founded by husband-and-wife power couple John David Snyder and Niki Shadrow Snyder, along with Emmy Award-winning producer Gary Reeves, The Givefluencer Network is a movement designed to transform lives — of givers and receivers — through giving. A play on the word “influencer,” the “givefluencer” founders want people to see others they admire and respect making a positive impact on the world through giving.

“The world doesn’t need more influencers right now,” says Niki. “We need more givefluencers. This has the potential to be the greatest social revolution the world has ever known. There is no greater feeling than the joy and satisfaction you get from impacting someone’s life through giving.”

“I understood the value and importance of empathy from a very young age,” says Gary. “How things show up in your life is a reflection of how you conduct yourself. When you wake up every day with empathy and make sure your intentions are authentic and sincere, you not only improve the lives of those you interact with, but you transform your own life, as well.”

Project Pop Drop + GIVE

The Givefluencer Network got its roots from John and Niki’s foundation, Project Pop Drop, in which they have built “giving” into their business model with their office supply company, which sells an essential product of private label ink and toner cartridges. They are the only printing supply company in the world that is not just feeding machines, but also feeding human beings and helping to eradicate homelessness (#printwithapurpose). In a monthly Project Pop Drop event, the couple and their team bring food, clothing, blankets, toiletries, toys, and many lifesaving supplies to local shelters and organizations that assist people who are experiencing hunger and homelessness. They don’t just do this on Thanksgiving and Christmas — they found a way to give back 365 days a year!

“It’s as simple as this: the last Saturday of the month, our company gives back,” says John. “Step by step we made the commitment, reserved a portion of our sales, and locked ourselves into a pattern of monthly giving that happens automatically. And we don’t just do it in-house; we partner with our customers, local schools, and other businesses as well. We call it the social responsibility system.”

Project Pop Drop received the President’s Volunteer Service Award from the White House, along with a gold medal of honor, for their work in 2020.

But they didn’t want to stop there. If giving could be a natural part of doing business, it could also be a natural part of living life. John and Niki are givefluencers, and they wanted to find others who make giving a way of life, too.

That’s where Gary comes in.

After discovering the Emmy Award-winning show GIVE, Niki wanted to meet the man behind the vision, Gary Reeves. Each episode of GIVE features two charities and their missions to change their communities. With the help of some of the country’s top donors, a celebrity ambassador visits each charity to create awareness of their good works. Project Pop Drop and GIVE were a natural fit, and John, Niki, and Gary brought their current projects and passion for giving together to launch The Givefluencer Network.

Look for Project Pop Drop to be the new branded moment inside of the GIVE series. GIVE 2021 will be hosted by celebrated actor Blair Underwood and executive produced by Blair Underwood, Kevin Hart, Unite4Good, and Gary Reeves.

Once the dream team for The Givefluencer Network came together, it was time to recruit an award-winning coach.

“We didn’t just pick any coach to help us lead the way,” says Niki. “When you are trailblazing something, you choose a trailblazer. That’s why we picked a Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer nicknamed ‘Lady Magic.’ You know her as the first female head coach to shatter the glass ceiling in a men’s professional sports league, leading Team Power to the 2018 Championship in a season that made her the BIG3 Head Coach of the Year. Nancy Lieberman is regarded as one of the greatest figures in men and women's basketball history.”

Nancy was mentored by the champ himself, Muhammad Ali. He taught her that there are two types of people in this world: “Nancy, there are givers in this world, and there are takers in this world... and I want you to be a giver.” Nancy took that advice to heart and has led a life of service ever since.

Givefluencer Meets Happy Money

International best-selling author Ken Honda has now partnered with the group to become a “givefluencer.” His “Happy Money” way of life aligns perfectly with The Givefluencer Network’s mission of giving as emotional currency that benefits the giver as much as the receiver.

“You can become a givefluencer by acknowledging someone who is doing great things in your community and giving to them,” says Ken. “Give any amount to support their good work, even one dollar. You could also give your time and volunteer for them, or share their good work with your network.”

“Becoming a ‘givefluencer’ is a state of mind achieved by the understanding that all human beings are connected,” says Niki. “As a society, we can only function correctly when we’re all taking care of each other. Giving must be a concept that is woven into the fabric of people’s businesses and lives.”

Are you a #givefluencer? Join the movement.

“I believe it is not enough to put out good news,” Niki says. “We have to empower people to create good news.”
